(JUNCTIONS 41-42 NORTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M6 Motorway, in the District of Eden, in the County of Cumbria, to enable works to be carried out in safety.

The Order will impose a 50 mph speed limit on the M6 northbound carriageway, from a point 1,699 metres north of Plumpton Station Bridge, to a point 650 metres north of Southwaite Service area Footbridge; The restriction is expected to be in place during a continuous period starting at 20:00 on Monday 10 October 2022 and ending at 06:00
on Saturday 26 November 2022. However, works may start and continue during subsequent continuous periods until completed.

The restriction will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs. The Order comes into force on 9 October 2022 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
