TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
The Borough of Thurrock
(Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No8) Order 2022
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 32, 33, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the1984 Act, intends to make the above-named Order ("the Proposed Order").
2) The general effect of the Order would be to:
a) Introduce South Ockendon Recreation Ground, South Ockendon as a Pay & Display Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.00pm off-street car park, the current charges applicable being set out in Schedule 1, with some parking places designated for disabled badge holders only or off-street recharging points for electric vehicles only (including hybrid vehicles) without payment provided the vehicle is connected to the recharging post via a recharging lead at all times while it is left at the recharging point.
b) Introduce Coalhouse Fort Car Park, East Tilbury as a Pay & Display 7.00am-6pm October - March and 7.00am-10.00pm April - September off-street car park, the current charges applicable being set out in Schedule 1, with some parking places designated for disabled badge holders only or off-street recharging points for electric vehicles only (including hybrid vehicles) without payment provided the vehicle is connected to the recharging post via a recharging lead at all times while it is left at the recharging point.
i. Within the southern section of Coalhouse Fort Car Park, East Tilbury there is a height restriction of 1.98 meters.

c) Revoke in its entirety the Tamarisk Road, South Ockendon Pay & Display off-street car park introduced in The Borough of Thurrock (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No7) Order 2016.
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development Team by contacting us on 01375 652652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices
4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Parking Team, Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to TROconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 1 October 2022. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
