Wiltshire, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Closure

Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C101 (Part), Minety; from a distance of approximately 225m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out works to remove barrier panels, tamp through entire area and associated works. Alternative route via C101 (unaffected length) - C99 - C76 - C90 - C101 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 23:15 and 05:15 for 1 night.

B) C264 (Part), Wilcot; from its junction with C268 to its junction with Ladybird Lane.

C) China Lane, Wilcot; from its junction with C268 to its junction with C264 to enable Openreach to carry out pole change and associated works. Alternative route via C268 - C52 - C8 - C264 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. D) Southward Lane (Part), Aldbourne; from its property known as Southward Lane Farmhouse for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out excavation to update apparatus and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 26 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 2 days. E) C259 (Part), Collingbourne Ducis; from its junction with C21 to outside property known as Apple Tree House to enable Openreach to provide a safe zone for cabling and associated works. Alternative route via C259 (unaffected length) - A338 - C21 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 09 September 2022. F) Goodwood Way (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Huntington Way for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out manhole cover replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Goodwood Way (unaffected length) - Sandown Drive - Newbury Drive -Goodwood Way (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 2 days. Orders A) to F) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


Section 16(A) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to temporary close to all traffic:

A) Church Walk, Devizes; from its junction with A342 Nursteed Road to its junction with Brickley Lane. Alternative route: via Brickley Lane - A361 Estcourt Street - A342 Nursteed Road and vice versa. And to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic under a rolling road closure:

B) A342 Nursteed Road, Devizes; from its junction with A360 Southbroom Road to its junction with Monument Hill.
C) Roseland Avenue (Part), Devizes; from its junction with A342 Nursteed Road to its junction with Longcroft Avenue.
D) Longcroft Avenue, Devizes; from its junction with Roseland Avenue to its junction with Brickley Lane.

E) Brickley Lane (Part) Devizes; from its junction with Longcroft Avenue to its junction with Bricksteed Avenue.

F) Bricksteed Avenue, Devizes; from its junction with Brickley Lane to its junction with Nursteed Road.

The above closures B) to F) will be managed on a 'rolling road closure' basis and will be reopened to traffic as soon as safely possible to enable LPS Events to carry out Devizes 10km race.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 25 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 13:00 for 1 day. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Section 16(A) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

A) A342 Devizes Road, Calne Without - from a point approximately 300 metres south of its junction with Naish Hill to a point approximately 650 metres north of that junction.

B) A4 Bath Road, Fyfield and West Overton- from a point 150 metres west of its junction with the C38 (to Lockeridge) to a point 150 metres east of that junction.

C) A3102, Hilmarton - from a point approximately 300 metres south west of its junction with C15 (Sandy Furlong Plantation) to a point approximately 300 metres north east of that junction.

D) C15 (to Sandy Furlong Plantation), Hilmarton - from its junction with A3102 for approximately 800 metres in a south easterly direction. And to Introduce temporary No waiting at any time on C38, Lockeridge, West Overton - both sides - from its junction with Ryles Lane for approximately 700 metres in a northerly direction. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and participants whilst enabling the Outlaw Half to take place. This Order will come into operation on 04 September 2022 and it is anticipated that the restrictions will be required between the hours of 06.30 and 14.00. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
