Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Carterton, B4477 Alvescot Road

Prohibition of Vehicles Date of Order: 30 August 2022 Coming into force: 8 September 2022 This Order is being introduced because of topographical and GPR and drainage surveys which are anticipated to be completed 24 September 2022. This will operate between 20:00 and 06:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the length of Alvescot Road southwest of Carterton. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Upavon Way, B4020, A40, A361, B4477 and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10453/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Eynsham, Cuckoo Lane (Closure and 30 & 50 mph Speed Limits) Date of Order: 05/9/2022 Coming into force: 19/9/2022 This Order is being introduced because of the A40 Park and Ride construction scheme which is anticipated to be completed 31/12/2023. The effect of the Order is as follows:
1. Road closure of Cuckoo Lane (8pm to 6am nightly as required) northwards from the A40 for 300 metres;

2. to temporarily reduce the 60mph limit to 30mph in Cuckoo Lane (Freeland Road) from the A40 northwards to the entrance with the SSE electrical substation;

3. thereafter a 50mph limit to the entrance to Cuckoowood Farm.

The alternative route for the night closure is (for Cuckoo Lane northbound) via
Eynsham Roundabout, north onto Lower Road, to the A4095, Wroslyn Road, and back to Cuckoo Lane, or vice versa.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10564/RMF)_
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Church Enstone - B4022 Banbury Road Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting Date of Order: 19 September 2022
Coming into force: 26 September 2022 This Order is being introduced because of highway and drainage maintenance works which are anticipated to be completed 26 October 2022. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in a length of the B4022 north of Church Enstone between the B4030 crossroads and the junction with Green Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Traffic will be diverted via the A361 and A44 and vice versa. Access to Soho Farmhouse for deliveries will be maintained throughout the works from the B4022 via The Tews. Works will be phased to allow access to the Airfield and associated businesses at all times from one end or the other This will be flexible as works progress. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10294/AC)
