Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that

between Friday 02 September 2022 and Friday 14 October 2022 the following road will be closed for both day and night for a period of approximately two weeks within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of footway resurfacing works to be completed. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads, and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road, where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.

he Isle of Wight Council (Bonchurch Shute, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2022 – Bonchurch Shute for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during footway resurfacing works.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847:-


The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2022

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1700 hours and 2230 hours, on Wednesday 31 August 2022, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed or wait along 1) Culver Parade between its junctions with Fort Street and Avenue Road; 2) Esplanade for its entire length; 3) High Street for its entire length; 4) Beachfield Road between its junctions with Royal Crescent and High Street; 5) Royal Crescent for its entire length; 6) Melville Street between its junctions with Royal Crescent and Fitzroy Street; 7) Fitzroy Street between its junctions with Melville Street and Station Avenue; 8) Station Avenue between its junctions with Fitzroy Street and Albert Road; 9) Albert Road between its junctions with Station Avenue and Victoria Road; 10) Victoria Road between its junctions with Albert Road and High Street; 11) Avenue Slipway for its entire length; 12) Battery Slip Way for its entire length.
The closure and restriction are required for safety during Sandown’s Illuminated Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, St Helens, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2022
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1700 hours and 2000 hours, on Monday 29 August 2022, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed or wait along 1) St Michaels Road between its junctions with Upper Green Road and The Cut; 2) Upper Green Road between its junctions with St Michaels Road and Mill Road; 3) Mill Road between its junctions with Lower Green Road and Upper Green Road; 4) Lower Green Road between its junctions with Mill Road and Vine Road; 5) Vine Road for its entire length. The closure and restriction are required for safety during St Helen’s Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2022

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1600 hours and 2200 hours, on Thursday 01 September 2022, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner,
A) No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) Esplanade on both sides for its entire length; 2) Dover Street for its entire length; 3) Park Road between its junctions with Dover Street and Star Street; 4) Star Street for its entire length; 5) High Street from its junction with Star Street and St Thomas Square; 6) St Thomas Square for its entire length; 7) Union Street for its entire length; 8) North Walk for its entire length.
B) No person shall cause any vehicle to wait on both sides along 1) Dover Street between its junctions with Melville Street and Park Road; 2) Park Road between its junctions with Dover Street and Star Street.
The closure and restriction are required for safety during Ryde Main Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.
