(LDP2)

As required by Section 20A(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended) and Section 18(1) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 respectively, South Ayrshire Council hereby gives notice it has adopted (with effect from 31st August 2022) and published the South Ayrshire Local Development Plan 2 (as modified).

The Council modified the Plan in accordance with the recommendations of the Report of Examination by Scottish Ministers, dated January 2022. In April 2022, the Council advertised its intention to adopt the modified Plan and submitted it to Scottish Ministers, together with formal notification of intent to adopt. The Ministers subsequently confirmed the Council may now adopt the Plan. Accordingly, the South Ayrshire Local Development Plan 2 (August 2022) has been constituted as the development plan for South Ayrshire.

The adopted Plan may be inspected free of charge during normal opening hours at the Council premises, Wallace Tower, 172-176 High Street, Ayr, KA71PZ; at all public libraries in South Ayrshire during their respective normal opening hours; or on the Council's website at
