London Borough Of Merton Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (Hillcross Avenue And Links Avenue. Morden) (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate bridge examination works at the overhead rail bridge in Links Avenue, Morden, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road and in Hillcross Avenue.
2. During the works, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(i) Links Avenue, from its junction with Hatherleigh Close to its junction with Hillcross Avenue; or
(ii) Hillcross Avenue, from its junction with Links Avenue to the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Hillcross Avenue; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the roads or lengths of roads specified in sub-paragraph (a) above;
(c) enter or proceed on north-eastern footways of Hillcross Avenue and Links Avenue which lie between a point 3 metres north-east of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Hillcross Avenue to a point 2 metres north-east of the south-western flank wall of Nos. 34 to 40 Links Avenue.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed:-
(i) northbound via Hillcross Avenue, The Beverley Roundabout, Tudor Drive, Epsom Road, London Road, Crown Road, Crown Lane and Links Avenue; or
(ii) southbound via Links Avenue, Crown Lane, London Road, Epsom Road, Tudor Drive, the Beverley Roundabout and Hillcross Avenue.
5. Pedestrian traffic affected by the footway closures should proceed using the footway opposite.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any person or vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions during any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian or vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation at 10pm on Wednesday 14th September 2022 and it is anticipated that the works would be carried out overnight until 6am the next day. However, the Order would remain in force for three months should further works be required.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1)
(Eastfields Road And Grove Road. CR4) (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) (No. 2) Order 2022
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate pedestal replacement and associated works at the Eastfields Road level crossing, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian and vehicular traffic in Eastfields Road and Grove Road.
2. Whilst the works take place no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter, proceed or wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in:
(i) Eastfields Road, between its junction with Grove Road and a point 25 metres north-west of the level crossing in Eastfields Road; and
(ii) Grove Road, from its junction with Eastfields Road south-eastward for a distance of 10 metres; or
(b) enter or proceed on foot in the lengths of road listed in sub-paragraph 2(a) above.
3. The prohibition would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited lengths of road would be maintained insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
5. Pedestrian access to properties adjacent to the prohibited lengths of road would be maintained at all times.
6. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be as follows:
(a) for vehicles from Grove Road, via Tamworth Lane, Cedars Avenue, Commonside East, Commonside West, Upper Green East, London Road, Raleigh Gardens, Holborn Way, London Road, Lock's Lane and Eastfields Road;
(b) for vehicles from Eastfields Road, via Lock's Lane, London Road, Holborn Way, Upper Green West, Upper Green East, Commonside West, Commonside East, Cedars Avenue, Tamworth Lane and Grove Road;
(c) for pedestrians, via the adjacent footbridge.
7. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.
8. Nothing in paragraph 2(b) above would apply to persons connected with the execution of the works.
9. The Order would apply from 8am on Sunday 18th September 2022 until 6pm the same day.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1)
(Canterbury Road. SM4) (Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2022
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate telecommunication works to be undertaken in Canterbury Road they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Canterbury Road, from its junction with Middleton Road to a point in line with the northern boundary of No. 173 Canterbury Road; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above; or
(c) enter or proceed on the western footway of Canterbury Road, between its junction with Middleton Road and the footway between Faversham Road and Canterbury Road fronting No. 2 Faversham Road.
3. The restrictions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Faversham Road and Crowland Walk.
5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway between Canterbury Road and Faversham Road which fronts No. 2 Faversham Road, and Faversham Road.
6. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
7. Nothing in the Order would apply: -
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency; or
(d) so as to prevent pedestrian and vehicular access to properties adjacent the footway and road closures.
8. The Order would come into operation on Tuesday 20th September 2022, with the works anticipated to be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 of the works would be carried between 20th September 2002 and 22nd September 2022 inclusive and phase 2 of the works would be carried out between 4th October 2022 and 7th October 2022 inclusive. However, the Order would remain in force for a maximum period of 3 months and its provisions would be re-introduced during that period should further works be required.

(Public Right Of Way/Bridleway No. 49)
(Temporary Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2022
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate the construction of a temporary egress road from the Tesco car park to Burlington Road, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians, persons on horseback and cyclists from entering or proceeding in Public Right of Way/Bridleway No. 49, which runs between Beverley Way and Burlington Road.
2. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
3. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any person engaged in the execution of the said construction works;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform.
4. Pedestrians affected by the footpath closure should proceed via Burlington Road and Beverley Way or vice-versa.
5. The Order would apply from Wednesday 7th September 2022 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed by 16th November 2022. However, the Order would remain in operation for a maximum period of 3 months should further works be required.
