A24 London Road, Ewell Temporary Speed Limit Order 2022
ON 24 AUGUST 2022 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: - 1. Prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of A24 London Road, Ewell that extends from the north-eastern property boundary of "No.183 London Road, Ewell", to the southeastern property boundary of "No.303 London Road, Ewell", at a speed greater than 20 MPH. 2. Suspend the "Epsom and Ewell Borough Council
- The Borough of Epsom and Ewell (40 m.p.h. Speed Limit (No.1) Order 1975" insofar as affects that length of A24 London Road, Ewell described in Part 1. to this Notice that extends from the south-eastern property boundary of "No.207a London Road, Ewell", to the south-eastern property boundary of "No.303 London Road, Ewell" (where the speed limit changes to 30 MPH by virtue of street lighting), and any Speed Limit Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of A24 London Road, Ewell described in Part 1. to this Notice. This Temporary Speed Limit Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to construct pedestrian crossing points and pedestrian refuges, and/or to carry out resurfacing and/or highway maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 4 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 02 September 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit and suspensions described above will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.
A240 Ewell By-Pass, Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the northbound carriageway to A240 Ewell By-Pass, Ewell that extends from its junction with A240 Kingston Road, to its junction with A24 London Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Cappagh to carry out sewer cover replacement and/or maintenance works on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7pm and 11pm, within 1 evening of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 September 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: - London Road, Ewell High Street, Spring Street, Chessington Road, Ruxley Lane and Kingston Road. London Road traffic wishing to access Ewell By Pass northbound will be diverted on Ewell By Pass to the Reigate Road Roundabout where it will turn round to pick up the diversion. There will be a pre-divert via Kingston Road for northbound High Street (Ewell) traffic.
D2298 Mospey Crescent, Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D2298 Mospey Crescent, Epsom. This Traffic Order is required to enable SQS to carry out service pipe repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 September 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. The vehicular diversion route will be via Burgh Heath Road and Mospey Crescent.
Various Roads in the Borough of Epsom and Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2022
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:
- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: - a) That length of D2362 Rosedale Road, Stoneleigh that extends from its junction with D2460 Richlands Avenue to its junction with D2050 Stoneleigh Broadway. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via D2460 Richlands Avenue, D2174 Gayfere Road and D2050 Stoneleigh Broadway. b) The entire length of D2292 Mill Lane, Ewell. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via B2200 London Road, B2200 Kingston Road and C254 Kingston Road. 2. Prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in: - a) The southbound carriageway to B2200 Cheam Road, Ewell that extends from its junction with D2343 Portway, to its junction with A24 Ewell By-Pass. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via C254 High Street, B2200 London Road and A24 Ewell By-Pass. Note: traffic will be able to travel west up B2200 Cheam Road towards High Street but not east towards Ewell Bypass. Pedestrians can use footway on opposite side. b) The southbound filter lane to that length of A232 Cheam Road, Ewell that extends from its junction with D2069 Chatsfield, to its junction with A24 Ewell By-Pass. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via B2200 Cheam Road, B2200 High Street, B2200 London Road and A24 Ewell Bypass. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway maintenance and/or footway slurry and/or reconstruction and/or resurfacing, and/or improvement works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 19 September 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the diversion routes described above. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.
D2108 Chartwell Place, Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Order 2022
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting by vehicles at any time in that length of D2108 Chartwell Place, Epsom that extends from the south-eastern property boundary of "No.10 Chartwell Place" to the southwestern property boundary of "No.10 Chartwell Place". This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to access underground structures to make a new fibre connection and/or to carry out cabling an/or ducting and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be completed between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Order which commences on 22 September 2022. The temporary prohibition will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force.
