Footpath No 526020, Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians

The County Of Cumbria (Footpath No.526020 In The Parish Of Grange Over Sands) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) Order 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 14 September 2021, which became operative on 23 September 2021, because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a potentially dangerous rockface and to enable works to take place to make it safe ("the Works"), and which would otherwise expire on 23 September 2022 : has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 23 September 2023. The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Footpath No. 526020 at Yewbarrow Woods in the Parish of Grange-over-Sands for approx. 92m between Grid Refs: 340580 478144 and 340648 478185.

A suitable alternative route for pedestrians is available via the unaffected section of Footpath No. 526020, and Footpath No. 526021.
