Temporary Parking Restriction, Old Castle Road, Weymouth

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 2 September 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 October 2022.

This Order is to enable North Fossil on behalf of Dorset Council to continue carrying out works due to safety concerns associated with a landslip and traffic management.

The effect of this Order is as follows:
[1] To impose a temporary parking restriction from approximately 62c Old Castle Road to a location approximately opposite 66 Old Castle Road, a distance of approximately 60 metres. The restriction will be in operation 24 hours a day and will be in operation as and when indicated by the traffic signs on site.
