SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984


Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Millstream Approach (Part), Salisbury; from its roundabout junction with Long Stay Central for a distance of approximately 40m in an easterly direction to enable Kier Ltd to carry out improvements to Millstream Approach Bridge and associated maintenance works. Alternative route Castle Street - A36 -Central Car Park Access Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 September 2022 and the closure will be required until 07 April 2023. B) St Nicholas Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with De Vaux Place to its junction with Ayleswade Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage surveying, cleaning and associated works. Alternative route via St Nicholas Road (unaffected length) -A338 - A3094 - Harnham Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. C) Windsor Street, Salisbury; from its junction with A36 to its junction with Windsor Road. 

D) Windsor Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Fisherton Street for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 19 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. E) Westwood Road (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Oliver Close for a distance of approximately 100m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer lining and associated works. Alternative route via Oliver Close - The Valley -Woodside Road - Rawlence Road - Westwood Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 August 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 22:00 until 02 September 2022. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (SOUTHERN WILTSHIRE) (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2022


Notice is hereby given that on 17 August 2022 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act of 1984") and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be as follows:
- To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Southern Wiltshire) (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2018, re-enact it in the above Order and to make the following changes: -

(a) To remove from the Order the exemption from charging for disabled badge holders, invalid carriages, vehicles in lieu of invalid carriages and drivers with a severe disability issued with a note from Wiltshire Council;

(b) To change the tariffs as set out below:

Amesbury - Central Car Park: 1 hr - £0.30, 2hrs - £1.00, 3hrs - £2.00, 4hrs - £2.60, 5hrs - £3.30, All Day - £5.50 To change the current Standard Season Ticket prices (available in Central Car Park) to 12 months - £603, 6 months - £302, 3 months - £151 and 1 month - £50.

Salisbury - Brown Street Car Park (East and West): 1hr - £1.70, 2hrs - £3.00, 3hrs - £5.00;

Central Short Stay Car Park: 1hr - £1.70, 2 hrs - £3.00, 3hrs - £5.00;

Central Long Stay Car Park (including the approach to Central car park): 1hr - £1.60, 2hrs - £2.90, 3hrs - £4.50, 4hrs - £6.00, 5hrs - £7.20, All Day

Central Long Stay Car Park (including the approach to Central car park)
- £9.90;

College Street Car Park: 1hr - £1.70, 2hrs - £3.00, 3hrs - £4.80, 4hrs - £5.50, 5hrs - £6.60, All Day - £9.90;

Culver Street Car Park:
1hr - £1.20, 2hrs - £2.40, 3hrs -£3.70, 4hrs - £4.90, 5hrs - £6.10, All Day - £9.90;

Lush House Car Park: 1hr - £1.70, 2hrs - £3.00, 3hrs - £5.00;

Maltings Car Park: 1hr - £1.70, 2hrs - £3.00, 3hrs - £5.00;

Millstream Car Park: 1hr - £1.60, 2hrs - £2.90, 3hrs - £4.50, 4hrs - £6.00, 5hrs - £7.20, All Day - £9.90;

Millstream Coach Car Park: 1hr - £1.80, 2hrs - £2.70, 4hrs - £5.30, All Day - £10.80;

Salt Lane Car Park: 1hr - £1.70, 2hrs - £3.00, 3hrs - £5.00.

To change the current standard Season Ticket charges as listed below:

Brown Street Car Park (East and West), Central Long Stay Car Park, College Street Car Park, Culver Street Car Park, Maltings Annex Car Park, Millstream Car Park, Salt Lane Car Park:

12 months - £1160, 6 months - £580, 3 months - £290, 1 month - £97

Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Act of 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act of 1984 or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2022.
