Carterton, Application to Vary Licence to Abstract Water

Environment Agency Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003) Notice of application to vary a full licence to abstract (take) water

Ancala Water Services (Estates) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence. The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006. The application is to vary licence serial number TH/039/0009/011 which authorises the abstraction of water from groundwater at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 28 06 near Carterton, Oxfordshire.
The variation applied for is: to increase the maximum quantity of water to be abstracted each year from 322,720 m3 to 340,000 m3.
