Somerset County Council District of Sedgemoor Parish of East Brent Temporary Closure of Mendip Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Mendip Road - from 315metres northwards from the junction with Bristol Road, northwards for 40 metres. This Order will enable Gigaclear to carry out remedial works in the carriageway.
The Order becomes effective on 6th September 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 12th September 2022 and last until 14th September 2022 between the hours of 08:00 -16:00 for a total of 3 days.
