Somerset County Council District of Sedgemoor Parish of East Huntspill Temporary Closure of Burtle Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Burtle Road - from the junction with The Causeway, eastwards for a distance of 1637 metres. This Order will enable Balfour Beatty to carry out reinstatement/removal of two bellmouth access/crossovers for construction plant. The Order becomes effective on 6th September 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 12th September 2022 and last until 25th September 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 14 days. Please visit
