Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water
Daniel Wormell and Stephen Wormell of PR Wormell Farms have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006. The application is for a full licence to abstract water from an unnamed surface water drain at Langenhoe Hall, Langenhoe, Essex.between National Grid References TM 01512 18089 and TM 01747 17951.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 27.59 cubic metres an hour ? 662.25 cubic metres a day
- 100,000 cubic metres a year ? between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation. The proposed abstraction lies within the Blackwater Estuary Catchment and North Essex Abstraction Licensing Strategy reporting area.
