Newport City Council (Cot Hill, Newport - Footpath No. 397/9, 397/3 And 397/10) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Newport City Council has received authority from the Welsh Ministers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991) for the extension of the 'Newport City Council (Cot Hill Newport - Footpath No. 397/9, 397/3 and 397/10) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2021' Order. The Order became operative on 17 August 2021 and would have expired on 16 February 2022 but was extended up to and including 16 August 2022 and is now extended further up to and including 16 February 2023 or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. The effect of the order is to prohibit any person from proceeding along the footpaths 397/9, 397/3 and 397/10 along Cot Hill, Newport. The reason for making the order is to accommodate construction works of consented development and prior to permanent diversion routes being constructed. Hysbysir drwy hyn bod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd wedi derbyn awdurdod gan Weinidogion Cymru dan adran 15(5) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y'i diwygiwyd gan Ddeddf Traffig Ffyrdd (Cyfyngiadau Dros Dro) 1991) i ymestyn Gorchymyn 'Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd (Cot Hill Casnewydd - Llwybrau Troed 397/9, 397/3 a 397/10) (Cau Llwybrau Troed Dros Dro) 2021'. Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym ar 17 Awst 2021 a byddai wedi dod i ben ar 16 Chwefror 2022 ond cafodd ei ymestyn hyd at a chan gynnwys 16 Awst 2022 ac mae bellach wedi'i ymestyn eto hyd at a chan gynnwys 16 Chwefror 2023 neu nes y bydd y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf.

Effaith y gorchymyn yw gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag mynd ar hyd llwybrau troed 397/9, 397/3 a 397/10 ar hyd Cot Hill, Casnewydd. Y rheswm dros wneud y gorchymyn yw darparu ar gyfer gwaith adeiladu datblygiad a ganiateir a chyn i Iwybrau dargyfeirio parhaol gael eu hadeiladu. Ni fydd llwybr amgen pan fydd y llwybrau troed uchod ar gau.
