A34 Trunk Road (Harwell Lay-By) Temporary Traffic Restrictions

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the County of Oxfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on an adjacent lay-by. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the 24-hour closure of the lay-by adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A34 located between points 140 metres and 315 metres south of the centreline of Didcot Road (Harwell) overbridge.

This measure would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake surveys and inspections in the lay-by. It is expected that the work would last for a maximum of 3 days starting on or after

Thursday 15th September 2022.
The Order would come into force on
13th September 2022 and have a maximum
duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the
works are complete.
The temporary closure would be clearly
indicated by traffic signs when it is in operation
during the works period.
