The Barnet (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. 129) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on the 18th August 2022 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The general effect of the Charged-for order will be to make permanent the provisions of The Barnet (Charged-for Parking Places) (Amendment No.95) Order 2021. The above mentioned Orders, which all came into operation on Monday 22nd February 2021 introduced on an experimental basis, the following measures below: In order to improve resident parking opportunity for residents who normally park within the parking areas managed by Barnet Homes at Fuller Street and Prince of Wales Close NW4 it is proposed to extend the Hendon 'HC2' and Event day 'ED' Controlled Parking Zones to include the above parking areas. The general effect of the Charged-for Parking Places Order will be to introduce, on an experimental basis, the following measures:
(a) Resident permit holders only 'Past this point' parking areas at Fuller Street and Prince of Wales Close NW4.
(b) provide that the 'Past this point' parking area referred to in (a) above, will operate between 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday for HC2 Resident permit holders and 1pm to 6pm on event days for ED permit holders, during which vehicles will be required to have a valid permit or visitor voucher displayed in their vehicle to be parked in the 'Past this point' parking area.
(c) provide that vehicles displaying a valid disabled badge will be able to park in the parking places during the controlled hours without need to display a permit or voucher.
Loading will be permitted in parking areas referred to in 1 above for up to 40 minutes provided that the loading/unloading activity was seen to be actively taking place. A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on Saturday 20th August 2022 and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@
or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
