TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice Is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), In exercise of powers under Sections 14(1) & 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 18* day of August 2022 in respect of the locations numbered (1) & (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the locations numbered (3), (4), (5) & (6). (1)

(1) STATION ROAD LEVEL CROSSING. POPPLETON
This Order prohibits vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding through Station Road Level Crossing on Station Road, Poppleton (closed road) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2210hrs on Sunday, 21 August 2022 and ending at 0600hrs on Monday, 22 August 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(2) BRADLEY LANE / LOW MOOR LANE. RUFFORTH
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Bradley Lane / Low Moor Lane, Rufforth between its junctions with Askham Richard School To Seakel Lane and Wetherby Road (B1224) (closed road) during the period when roadway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0900hrs on Monday, 22 August 2022 and ending at 1600hrs on Friday, 26 August 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the road will be closed between 0900hrs and 1600hrs each day only. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(3) YORK ROAD LEVEL CROSSING. STRENSALL
This Order will prohibit vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Strensall No. 1 Level Crossing on York Road, Strensall (closed road) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaker thereon, commencing at 2330hrs on Friday, 26 August 2022 and ending at 0600hrs on Saturday, 27 August 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(4) YORK ROAD LEVEL CROSSING. STRENSALL
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Strensall No. 1 Level Crossing on York Road, Strensall (closed road) during the period when railway maintenance works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 2300hrs on Monday, 29 August 2022 and ending at 0600hrs on Thursday, 01 September 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the road will only be closed between 2300hrs and 0600hrs each night. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

(5) BURLANDS LANE. POPPLETON
This Order will prohibit vehicles & pedestrians from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Burlands Lane, Poppleton between its junction with the A59 and the entrance drive to Prospect Farm (closed road) during the period when roadway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0800hrs on Tuesday, 30 August 2022 and ending at 1600hrs on Thursday, 01 September 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the road will only be closed between 0800hrs and 1600hrs each day.

(6) LADY ROAD. YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of road on Lady Road, York between its junction with Cromer Street and the projected south-western boundary of property No. 11 (closed road) during the period when roadway resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0730hrs on Friday, 02 September 2022 and ending at 1730hrs on Friday, 02 September 2022 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.

The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
