SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C10 (Part), Wylye and Steeple Langford; from its junction with Dinton Road, Wylye to its junction with Duck Street, Steeple Langford to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement and associated works. Alternative route via C10 (unaffected length) - C283 - A36 - A303 - C10 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 1 day. B) Winchester Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Blue Boar Road to its junction with Rollestone Street to enable Virgin Media to carry out clearing of communication equipment in carriageway and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 12 September 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 08:30 for 1 day. Alternative route via The Avenue - A36 - Kingsway (unaffected length) and vice versa. E) Scotts Lane (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Endless Street for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction. F) Bedwin Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Endless Street for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer lining and associated works. Alternative route southbound via Chipper Lane - Castle Street - A36 - St Marks Road - Estcourt Road - Bourne Hill - Bedwin Street - Rollestone Street - Salt Lane -Endless Street (unaffected length). Alternative route northbound via Chipper Lane - Castle Street - Wyndham Road - Swaynes Close - Bell Vue Road. This Order will come into operation on 22 August 2022 and the closures will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 22:00 until 26 August 2022. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO.15) 2022 (REF TTRO 8219)
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedules to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway micro asphalt dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 22 August 2022 for a maximum period of 18 months. Where a road is to be closed on two separate dates this is to allow sufficient time between the surface dressing and sealing and lining works.The closures will not be implemented for the whole of the period and are anticipated to be for one to two days duration only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. Closures 1 to 5 are anticipated to take place on 3 dates between 22 August 2022 and 30 September 2022. Schedule; 1. Herbert Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Queen Alexandra Road to its junction with Tournament Road. 2. Romer Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Wavell Road for its entire length. 3. Wessex Road, Salisbury; from its junction with Wain A Long Road to its junction with Elm Grove Road. 4. The Beeches, Salisbury; from its junction with Tollgate Road for its entire length. 5. Potters Way, Laverstock and Ford; from its junction with Queen Manor Road for its entire length. Alternative routes; 1. Queen Alexandra Road, Pembroke Road, Woodside Road, St Michaels Road and vice versa. 2. No alternative route is available. 3. Via Wain A Long Road, Manor Road, Kelsey Road, Elm Grove Road and vice versa. 4. No alternative route is available. 5. No alternative route is available. Notice is hereby given that on 10 August 2022 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 7.5 tonnes weight restriction (except access for adjacent landowners) on C283 - from its junction with A36 to its junction with A360; Mount Pleasant (USRN 33501206) - the complete length; Riverside Close (USRN 33501205) - the complete length. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
