(B6532 Mini Roundabout, Stanley) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Older under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 70 metre length of B6532 Wear Road that extends southwards from A693 Wear Road roundabout and also 30 metre lengths of Tyne Road that extends south westeriy from Wear Road and the road leading to the Care Home off Wear Road, Stanley to enable road marking and anti-skid surfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the northern side of the closure north easterly via A693 to A6076 High Street roundabout then easterly on A693 turning south/south westerly on Number Hill to Wear Road to the southern side of the closure, and vice versa. An additional route will be signed via Tyne Road and Avon Road to Wear Road and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 4/9/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 1 day. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
