The County Council of Durham (Graenways and side Briar Dale, Delves Lane, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 570 metres of Greenways that extends northwards from its junction with ?elves Lane, and also 46 metres of side Briar Dale between Greenways and Briar Dale, Delves Lane, Consett to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the southern side of the closure from Delves Lane north westerly to the junctions with Pixley Dell and Briar Dale leading to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 4/9/22 from 9am to 3pm daily and are anticipated to be completed in 6 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
