(Wordsworth Avenue, Shelly Gardens, Henley Avenue and Chester Burn Close, Pelton) (Temporary Road and Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on the following lengths cf road and footpath: Road Closures: Chester Burn Close - a 50 metre closure, from the east of 17 Chester Burn Close, to the north of 4 Little Burn Way. Wordsworth Avenue - an 80 metre closure of the entire street, from the junction with Fellway. Henley Avenue - a 110 metre closure from the junction with Tennyson Road, to outside of property number 26. Footpath Closure: Shelly Gardens - 1 - 11 east, 12-13 north, 14 -15 west, 15 - 17 north, 17 - 19 east and the footpath from 3 east leading to Shelley Court to enable telecom duct and cable installation works to be undertaken. Alternative routes will be available generally to pedestrian and vehicular traffic via other local routes in the area. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 5/9/22 and are anticipated to be required for up to 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
