Stanmoor Road, Temporary Closure

Somerset County Council District of Somerset West and Taunton Parishes of Burrowbridge and Stoke St Gregory Temporary Closure of Stanmoor Road and Curload Road

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Stanmoor Road and Curload Road - Stanmoor Road - 90 metres northwards from the level crossing and Curload Road - 90 metres southwards from the level crossing. A total distance of 180 metres. This Order will enable Network Rail to removed the track while river bridge is being renewed. Crossing to remain closed until all track replaced and follow up tamping completed. The Order becomes effective on 1 st September 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 5th September 2022 and last until 16th October 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 42 days. Please visit
