Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 12th August 2022 has made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The general effect of the Orders would be:-
To formalise the following restrictions as part of the highway improvements works to reconfigure Tottenham Hale Bus Station (Planning Application Reference No. HGY/2017/3649)

1.
In Station Road N17:

(a) One-way working, with exemption for cyclists, on Station Road N17 between The Hale and Watermead Way, where vehicles would be prohibited to proceed in any direction other than from south-west to north-east;

(b) Prevent motor vehicles entering Station Road N17 at its junction with Hale Road and Watermead Way;

(c) Northbound carriageway of Station Road, No Right Turn into Watermead Way.

(d) On the north side - where:

i Disabled Bays (blue badge holders only) operating At Any Time, will be provided: For 19.7m (3 x approx. 6.5 metre bays) approximately 4.2 metres east of the flank wall of No. 51-57 The Hale / Premier Inn Hotel Station Road N17.

ii. Loading Places will be provided: For 23.8 metres approximately 23.9 metres east of the flank wall of No. 51 -57 The Hale / Premier Inn Hotel Station Road N17, operating Monday to Saturdays between 7am and 6.30pm, limited to 30 mins.

(e) On the south side - where:

i. Car Club bay will be provided: For 6.0 meters, approximately 4.2m east of the flank wall of No. 51-57 The Hale / Premier Inn Hotel Station Road N17.

ii. Disabled Bays (blue badge holders only) operating At Any Time, will be provided: For 11.9 metres (2 x approx. 6.0 metres bays) approximately 4.2 metres east of the flank wall of No. 51-57 The Hale / Premier Inn Hotel Station Road N17.

iii. Loading Places will be provided: For 20.3 metres approximately 22.1 metres east of the flank wall of No. 51-57 The Hale / Premier Inn Hotel Station Road N17, operating Monday to Saturdays between 7am and 6.30pm, limited to 30 mins.

(f) The controls for the remainder of Station Road should operate double yellow lines, No Waiting or Loading At Any Time.

2. In Hale Road N17: On the south side of Hale Road, a Loading Place will be provided for 13.9 metres approximately 6.7 metres west of the flank wall of No 21 Hale Road.

3. In Ashley Road N17:

(a) Mandatory contraflow cycle lane (direction of travel from north to south) to be designated approximately 8m north of the junction with Watermead Way to a point approximately 13.1 metres north of the junction with Watermead Way.

(b) Southbound cyclists are to be exempt from the existing No Entry restriction onto Hale Road / Watermead Way.

(c) Loading bay on the east side located 14.5 metres north east of its junction with Watermead Way, 8 metres in length.

(d) Loading bay on the west side located 7.5 metres north east of its junction with Watermead Way, 9 metres in length.

4. In Watermead Way N17:

(a) Westbound carriageway of Watermead Way, No Right Turn into Ashley Road;

(b) Westbound carriageway of Watermead Way, No Left Turn into Tottenham Hale Bus Station, with the exception of buses, vehicles associated with Bus Station Operation and maintenance or vehicles being used for the purposes of those works or used in connection with the Tottenham Hale Bus station project;

(c) No-Entry at the northern junction with Tottenham Hale Bus Station, with the exception of buses, vehicles associated with Bus Station Operation and maintenance or vehicles being used for the purposes of those works or used in connection with the Tottenham Hale Bus station project;

5. In Tottenham Hale Bus Station:

Northbound carriageway of Tottenham Hale Bus Station, No U-Turn into Tottenham Hale Bus Station.

6. In Ferry Lane:

No-Entry at the junction with the newly formed privately maintained road currently referred to as 'Ferry Way'.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 18th August 2022.

Application to the high court:
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
