TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990


THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARINGEY hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an order under Section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act as amended (the "Act") to authorise the stopping up of the following area of public highway which is shown edged in orange on the plan attached to the draft order:

(1) The area of highway to be stopped up is part of Remington Road London N15 6SS between its junction with Moreton Road in the east to its junction with Pulford Road in the west shown coloured orange on the plan comprising a maximum length of 52 metres and a maximum width of 5.5 metres.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised to enable the development described in the Schedule to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission to be granted under Part III of the Act to the London Borough of Haringey with planning reference HGY/2021 /2882.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND THE RELEVANT PLANS MAY BE INSPECTED FREE OF CHARGE during the 28 days commencing on 17th August 2022 at the ground floor reception River Park House, 225 High Road, Wood Green, London N22 8HQ.

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT
to the making of the proposed order within 28 days commencing on 17th August 2022 by written notice to the Head of Legal and Governance (Monitoring Officer), 7th Floor, Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, London N22 7TR (quoting reference LEG/PP/BXA/70168). In preparing any objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.

THE SCHEDULE

Redevelopment of site including demolition of garages to provide 46 new homes for Council rent (Use Class C3) comprising part 3, 5 and 6 storey apartment buildings (31 homes) and 1, 2 and 3 storey houses and maisonettes (15 homes) with associated amenity space, landscaping, refuse/ recycling and cycle storage facilities. Reconfiguration of Remington Road as one-way street, 7 on-street parking spaces, children's play space, public realm improvements and relocation of existing refuse/recycling facilities.
