NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 83,84,124 and 125 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers, and those lengths of road that lie within the London Borough of Lewisham, pursuant to agreement under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 with the councils of the said Boroughs, in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Local Authorities (Arrangements for the Discharge of Functions)(England) Regulations 2012, and with the consent of Lewisham Council.

The effect of the Orders, in relation to Court Road, Orpington would be to:-

(a)
introduce/extend waiting restrictions as set out in the Schedule to this Notice;

(b) introduce a 30mph speed limit from a point 14m north west of the northern kerb line of the northernmost arm of Goddington Lane to a point 18m south east of the south eastern kerb line of The Highway;

(c) introduce a loading bay operating "at any time", with a maximum stay time period of 1 hour and a no return time period of 2 hours on the south west side, from a point 27m north west of the north western kerb line of Charterhouse Road north westwards for a distance of 25m;

(d) introduce a prohibited banned turn for vehicles proceeding south eastward in Court Road from turning left into the south easternmost arm of Goddington Lane;

The effect of the Orders, in relation to Station Approach, Sydenham would be to remove an existing pay by phone parking bay opposite Metro Flex Gym and replace it with waiting restrictions operating at zone hours.

Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the plans of the scheme and of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be made available by emailing traffic@bromley.gov.uk during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays.

ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/722 not later than 7th September 2022.

Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.
