The Scottish Borders Council Tree Preservation Order No 59 (2022)


The Scottish Borders Council, the Planning Authority for the area under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the above mentioned Act on 1 August 2022 confirmed without modification the above Tree Preservation Order, made on 15 June 2022, in respect of a group of trees, woodland at Medwyn Drive, West Linton.
The Council has confirmed the Order as it is of the opinion that collectively that the group of trees, woodland provide screening and aesthetic local landscape value to Medwyn Drive and Medwyn Road, West Linton.
A copy of the Order (including a map) will be available for inspection at the Council's Contact Centre at High Street, Peebles EH45 8AG during normal opening hours and at Planning, Housing and Related Services, Corporate Improvement and Economy, Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells during normal working hours.

Applications for planning permission, listed building consent and conservation area consent listed below together with the plans and other documents submitted with them may be examined at Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells between the hours of 9am and 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 9am and 3.30pm on Friday.
Written comments may be made to the Service Director - Regulatory Services, Scottish Borders Council, Newtown St Boswells TD6 0SA within 21 days from the date of the publication of this notice. Alternatively, representations can be made online by visiting our web site at

It is also possible to visit any library and use the Planning Public Access system to view documents. To do this, please contact your nearest library to book time on a personal computer.
