The A41 GLA Road (Hendon Way, London Borough Of Barnet) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic And Stopping) Order 2022
1. Transport for London in consultation with the London Borough of Barnet hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable highway improvement and resurfacing works to take place on the A41 Hendon Way.

3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from:

(1) entering or proceeding on A41 Brent Cross Flyover/ Hendon Way westbound between its junctions with the westbound off-slip road to Brent Cross Interchange and the westbound on-slip from Spalding Road;
(2) entering or proceeding the A41 Hendon Way westbound off-slip road between its junctions with Hendon Way and Brent Cross Interchange;
(3) entering or proceeding the A41 Hendon Way westbound on-slip road between its junctions with Brent Cross Interchange and Hendon Way;
(4) entering or proceeding on Spalding Road between its junctions with Prince Charles Drive and Hendon Way;
(5) entering or proceeding on entering or proceeding on the unnamed slip road fronting Unit N23, Brent Cross Shopping Centre between its junctions with Prince Charles Drive and Spalding Road;
(6) stopping on Hendon Way eastbound between its junctions with Cheyne Walk and the A41 eastbound off-slip to Brent Cross Interchange;
(7) entering or proceeding the A41 Hendon Way eastbound off-slip road between its junctions with Hendon Way and Brent Cross Interchange;
(8) entering or proceeding on the unnamed slip road between its junctions Haley Road and the A41 Hendon Way eastbound off-slip road between its junctions with Hendon Way and Brent Cross Interchange.
Works will be phased such that some restrictions will apply only at certain times.
The Order will be effective at certain times between 15th August 2022 and 6th March 2023, every night 9:30 PM until 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:
(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force alternative routes will be indicated by traffic signs via Brent Cross Interchange, south-eastbound slip between Brent Cross Interchange and Hendon Way, Hendon Way, Finchley Road, North Circular Road westbound, Great North Way, Finchley Lane, Church Road and The Burroughs to normal route of traffic.
At such times as the prohibitions are in force alternative routes will be indicated by traffic signs via Brent Cross Interchange, south-eastbound slip between Brent Cross Interchange and Hendon Way, Hendon Way, Finchley Road, North Circular Road westbound, Great North Way, Finchley Lane, Church Road and The Burroughs to normal route of traffic.
