London Borough Of Waltham Forest Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) (E11 Roads) The Waltham Forest (Various Roads E11) (Road Closure) (No. 1) Order

2022 (TT37(22))

1. The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (the Council) HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 11th August 2022 it made an Order to allow for the construction of a new access chamber and repairs to a mains sewer in the carriageway to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner by Thames Water.

2. The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, to prohibit vehicles (except works vehicles) from:

(a) entering, proceeding, waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in Barclay Road E11 - between the eastern kerb line of High Road, Leytonstone eastwards for a distance of 30 metres;

(b) waiting or loading for any purpose, at any time, in:

i. Barclay Road E11 - both sides - between High Road Leytonstone and Mornington Road

ii. Mornington Road E11 - both sides - between Barclay Road and Michael Road

iii. High Road E11 - west side - between the common boundary of Nos. 779/781 and 769/771 High Road E11.

3. Whilst the prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2(a) above remain in force, advance warning signage and alternative routes for traffic shall be in place.

4. All designated parking places in Barclay Road, Mornington Road and High Road mentioned in paragraph 2(b)i. to iii. respectively within the prohibited areas mentioned will be suspended.

5. Whilst works are being carried out and only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed the one-way working and no-entry prohibitions in:

(a) Barclay Road E11 - High Road Leytonstone to Mornington Road;and

(b) Mornington Road E11 - Barclay Road to Michael Road would be temporarily suspended.

6. Vehicles waiting or loading in disregard of this Order would be removed.

7. The prohibitions mentioned above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used -

(a) in connection with the said works; or

(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow)

8. The Order will come into operation on 11th August 2022 and would be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: Signage would be placed in advance of any works in the above-mentioned road and surrounding roads which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the restrictions, diversion routes, and effects of any temporary traffic management as necessary.
