Temporary Closure of Yarrells Lane, Upton

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Yarrells Lane, Upton between Sandy Lane and Gwenlyn Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 310 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 September 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 September 2022. This Order will enable SGN safe access to replace a gas main. An alternative vehicular route will be signed using Sandy Lane, Moorland Way, B3067 Dorchester Road, B3068 Blandford Road and vice versa. Temporary Closure of Highfield Road, Corfe Mullen

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HIGHFIELD ROAD, CORFE MULLEN between the junctions of and where the road meets with Albert Road and Springdale Road, a distance of approximately 250 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8 August 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 August 2022.
This Order will enable JDT Utilities agent for SGN, safe access to lay a new gas main in the highway.
An alternative route will be signed using: Springdale Road - Ivor Road - Albert - Road. Temporary Closure of Public Footpath N69/9 Turnpike, Shaftesbury

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding Footpath N69/9, Turnpike, Shaftesbury from grid reference 384272 to grid reference 124464, a distance of approximately 560 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It came into operation on the 17 August 2022 for a period of 26 weeks. However can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This Order is required to allow James Cox to close N69/9 for the event; Gillingham and Shaftesbury Show.
