Temporary Closure of Public Bridleway W42/4, South Perrott

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along public bridleway W42/4, from grid reference ST 476 064 to grid reference ST 478 064, a distance of approximately 165 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 15 August 2022, for a period of 6 months. This Order can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.

The Order is required to allow the Environment Agency Reservoirs Project works to take place.
There will be a locally signed diversion.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Revocation Order 2022 - Hell Lane, North Chideock & Shutes Lane, Symondsbury

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Dorset Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make a Revocation Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

(a) WHEREAS Dorset Council ("the Council") in the exercise of its powers under section 14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers made the Dorset Council (Hell Lane, North Chideock & Shutes Lane, Symondsbury) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2022 ("the previous order") on 24 June 2022.

(b) The previous order was required for health and safety reasons due to the surface and overhanging boulders and was due to come into force on 24 June 2022.

(c) AND WHEREAS the restrictions should apply to all traffic the Council now intends to make this Revocation Order which revokes the previous order and has no other effect.
