The Gains Road, Temporary Road Closure

Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U65022, The Gains Road, Whitbourne, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U65022, The Gains Road, Whitbourne, adjacent to the entrance of 'Old Gaines Farm'. Grid Ref: 371716/255402. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Gains Road onto Linley Green Road, onto the B4220, onto the A44 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to stop tap works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 7th of September 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
