Northumberland County Council (Prudhoe Miners Race 2022) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2022 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council {"the Councir), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Acf) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 1 st August 2022 the Northumberland County Council (Prudhoe Miners Race 2022) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2022 ("trie TTRO").
The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Prudhoe Miners Race 2022 {"the Evenf) by restricting traffic on the following:
1. The U8280 Eastwoods Road, Broomhouse Road and Castlefields Drive for their entire lengths ("Road One")
2. The A695 Princess Way ("Road Two");
3. The A695 between Mlckley and Prudhoe ("Road Three");
4. The B6395 West Road and the B6395 Front Street ("Road Four");
The B6395 West Road and the B6395 Front Street ("Road Four");
5. The B6395 Stonyflat Bank and the B6395 Prudhoe to County Boundary ("Road Five") (Road One, Road Two, Road Three, Road Four will together be known as {"the Roads")
The TTRO shall come into force at 9:00 hours on 18 September 2022 and will remain in force until 11:00 hours on 18 September 2022, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act. The Order will be a rolling temporary restriction as follows (a) Road One will be restricted between 9:00 hours to 11:00 hours; (b) Road Two will be restricted between 9:00 hours and 9:30 hours; (c) Road Three will be restricted between 9:15 hours to 9:50 hours; and (d) Road Four will be restricted between 9:45 hours to 11:00 hours.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.
Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or
e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
