The County Of Cumbria (Road Running Through Cloffocks Car Park, U2545 William Street And U7I7I Griffin Street, Workington) (Festival Of Running) (Temporary One-Way Traffic Restrictions) Order 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to facilitate the holding of the Festival of Running ("the Event") in Workington and to enable members of the public to watch the Event and reduce the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by the Event, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to:
1. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a north westerly direction along the unnamed road through Cloffocks Car Park, Workington from its junction with U2650 Central Way, Workington to its junction with U7171 Griffin Street. Alternative Route for southeast bound vehicles: via the unrestricted sections of Griffin Street, William Street, A597, Station Road, Oxford Street, Jane Street, Central Square and Central Way.
Duration: From 0800 hours to 1700 hours on Sunday 14 August 2022.
2. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a northerly direction along that section of the U2545 William Street, Workington, from its junction with the U7171 Griffin Street to its junction with the A597;
3. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a westerly direction along that section of the U7171 Griffin Street, Workington, from its junction with the U2545 William Street for a distance of approximately 290m;
Alternative Route for southeast bound vehicles for 2 and 3 above: via A597, Station Road, Oxford Street, Jane Street Central Square and Central Way.
Duration: From 1130 hours to 1300 hours on Sunday 14 August 2022.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the
direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(ii)Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Event.

The Order will come into operation on 14 August 2022 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of three days from that date.
