A planning application is to be submitted to extend the end date of Faugh Sandpit No.2 (until 2032) to ensure that a regionally scarce sand and gravel deposit is not lost and is restored back to productive agriculture and biodiverse habitats. The quarry is situated to the west of Faugh, Cumbria. A dedicated website has been created with details of the proposed application.

As part of the pre-application consultation, you can have your say and provide comments via the website. All of the information can be found at faugh-sandpit.weebly.com. The website will run from August 12th until August 21st 2022.
