LONDON BOROUGH OF LEWISHAM
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The Lewisham (Beckenham Place Park Events 2022) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Council, with the consent of London Borough of Bromley, intend to make the above named temporary traffic order under the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because of the likelihood of danger to the public. The effects of the order will be as indicated below.

1. (1) Road closure in (i) Beckenham Place Park; (ii) Calverley Close; (iii) Dunfield Road, between Beckenham Hill Road and Sedgehill Road; (iv) Hanson Close; (v) Highland Croft; (vi) Shannon Way; and (vii) Westgate Road, between Foxgrove Road and Beckenham Place Park. (2) There are no alternative routes for traffic affected by the prohibition. (Note: Access and egress will be maintained for residents as far as practicable during the closures.)

2. No parking/waiting in (i) Beckenham Hill Road; (ii) Crab Hill, between Ravensbourne Avenue and the northern boundary of No.6 Crab Hill; (iii) Foxgrove Road, northern side, between Southend Road and Westgate Road; and (iv); Southend Road, between Braeside and Foxgrove Road.

3. Exemption will be provided in the order for vehicles officially engaged on the events, vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer

4. The order is intended to come into force on the 5th September 2022 to remain in force for up to 1 month. (Note: Event are scheduled for the weekends of 10th/11th and 17th/18th September 2022)

5. The prohibitions will apply as, when and to the extent signed on the highway.
