Breach Common and St James Common

Mr Harry Greenhalgh of Cushman & Wakefield, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Breach Common and St James Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State. The proposed works are for the widening of the junction bellmouth onto the B3091 from the recreation ground and the creation of a footpath between the recreation ground and St Anne's Close. The works will cover 356 square metres. The works will be located at the eastern border of Breach Common and St James Common adjacent to HMP Guys Marsh. A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Shaftesbury Library, Bell Street, Shaftesbury, SP7 8AE during normal office hours until 13th September 2022.
