The County Of Cumbria (Footpath No.109085 In The City Of Carlisle) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) Order 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 2 March 2021, to enable works to be carried out to an existing retaining wall ("the Works"), which became operative on 8 March 2021, was subsequently extended and which would otherwise expire on 8 September 2022 : has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 8 September 2023.
proceeding along a 225 metre length of Public Footpath No. 109085, which runs alongside Dacre Road and Carlisle Castle in the City of Carlisle between Grid Reference:339601 556307 and Grid Reference: 339812 556252. There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians. If the works have not been completed within the extension period, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the appropriate Minister.
