Surrey County Council A232 Cheam Road, Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
On 03 August 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A232 Cheam Road, Ewell that extends from the eastern side of its junction with A24 Ewell By-Pass, to the western side of its roundabout junction with D2311 Northey Avenue. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out the renewal of illuminated bridge height signs to the "East Ewell Station Railway Bridge" and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 5am, within 3 nights of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 August 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: - Ewell By-Pass, Reigate Road, Fir Tree Road, Brighton Road, Belmont Rise, Ewell Road, Cheam High Street, Ewell Road and Cheam Road. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the roads can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.

B284 Ruxley Lane, Ewell Temporary Banned Turn Order 2022
On 03 August 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a northeasterly direction on B284 Ruxley Lane, Ewell from turning left upon reaching the junction with A240 Kingston Road. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Traffi-Co Limited to repair a traffic signal detector loop and/or to carry out maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 11.59pm, within one evening of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 17 August 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turn will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained via the footway. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be via the vehicular diversion route: - From B284 Ruxley Lane south on A240 Kingston Road to the roundabout, to return north on A240 Kingston Road.
