Notice ID: MFN0669409Temporary Closure of Public Bridleway W42/4, South Perrott
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along bridleway W42/4, from grid reference ST 476 064 to grid reference ST 478 064, a distance of approximately 165 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users.
It will come into operation on 15 August 2022, for a period of 6 months. This Order can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The Order is required to allow to the Environment Agency Reservoirs Project works to take place.
There will be a locally signed diversion.

Public Inquiry
Appeal by Aggregate Industries UK Limited. Relating to the application to Dorset Council for:
Temporary planning permission is sought for an extension to Chard Junction Quarry at Westford Park Farm for the winning and working of approximately 930,000 tonnes of sand and gravel with progressive restoration to agriculture and nature conservation, inclusive of a new internal haul road and the retention of the existing mineral processing facilities and silt lagoons for a period of seven years. (WD/D/19/000451) at Aggregate Industries UK Ltd, Chard Junction Quarry, South Chard, CHARD TA20 4QS.
An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold an Inquiry starting at 10.00am on Tuesday 23 August 2022, and continuing until 26th, and resuming on 31st August until the 1st of September at The Guildhall, Fore Street, Chard, Somerset TA20 1PP.
Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and, at the Inspector's discretion, express their views.
