(B1010 Maldon Road & B1021 Southminster Road, Burnham on Crouch) (30mph & 40mph Speed Limit) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Section 84(1) and (2) and Parts III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To introduce a 40MPH speed limit on the following length of B1021 Southminster Road, Burnham-On-Crouch in the District of Maldon from a point in line with the southern kerb line of Cobbins Chase, in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 560 metres (the road is currently National Speed Limit). The proposed speed limit was previously advertised on 02 July 2020 with a length of 123 metres however following feedback received from the first public consultation it is now proposed to extend the 40mph speed limit further northwards over an extended length. The Essex County Council (Burnham on Crouch) (Restricted Roads) Order 2011 is hereby revoked. All restrictions shall continue in force by virtue of this order

(Grange Road, Wickham Bishops) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Grange Road, Wickham Bishops in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Roots Lane to both of its junctions with School Road a distance of approximately 210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th August 2022 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001147053 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. An alternative route is available via Roots Lane, Blacksmiths Lane, Arbour Lane, Grange Road, School Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier

(Steeple Road, Southminster) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Steeple Road, Southminster in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Steeple Meadows for a distance of approximately 340m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2022 for 31 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231006407 - David Wilson Homes). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while road realignment works are undertaken on behalf of David Wilson Home.
An alternative route is available via Steeple Road, Queen Street, Pantile Hill, High Street, North Street, North End, Cripplegate, Tillingham Road, Southminster Road, Green Lane, Foxhall Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th July 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
