Road Traffic Restrictions (Amendment No.4) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The effect of the Order will be to amend the Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic) Consolidation Order 2019 and introduce a 20mph speed limit to the following roads - Bleath Ghyll, Bourne Avenue, Bramble Close, Chestnut Tree Lane, Cornflower Close, Dunstan Close, Etal Close, George Stephenson Drive, Haven Close, Howick Close, Kingfisher Way, Leach Grove, Locomotion Lane, Paradise Way, Pond View, Poplar Grove, Rainhill Way, Raisby Lane, Sans Pareil Square, School Street, Sugar Hill Grove, Swinbridge, Timothy Hackworth Drive, Wallington Drive, Wellington Drive and Yellowley Court; and to change the length of Salters Lane South to which a 20mph applies from - from the north side of its junction with Kielder Drive to a point 15 metres north of the northern boundary 94 Salters Lane South; to - from a point 4 metres south of its junction with Nightingale Avenue to the north side of its junction with Kielder Drive. Proposed Installation Of Speed Cushions

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 90C of the Highways Act 1990 that Darlington Borough Council proposes to install 4 Speed Cushions in George Stephenson Drive.
Dimensions - 4 No at 75mm high (maximum), overall length 2.0 metres, overall width 1.65 metres installed in the carriageway on George Stephenson Drive.
Arrangement of Speed Cushions - Speed Cushions to be installed 800mm from existing kerb line and 700mm apart from one another.
Locations - 2 on George Stephenson Drive at a location 2.64m west of the eastern boundary of number 10; and 2 on George Stephenson Drive at a location 2.27m west of the eastern boundary of number 23.
All dimensions and locations in this notice are approximate. Traffic signs and road markings will be installed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. Plans showing the locations of the Speed Table features may be inspected at Darlington Borough Council, 17 Allington Way, Darlington, DL1 4QB.
