(Church Chare, Chester-le-Street) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 130 metres of C183 Church Chare from Low Chare to Mains Park Road to enable Durham County Council carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the southern side of closure south on Mains Park Road and continuing south on Front Street, east on Ropery Lane, north on A167 Park Road Central then south west on Picktree Lane and turning south to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 23/8/22 from 7pm to 6am nightly and are anticipated to be completed in 6 nights. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Dated: 4th August 2022
