Urgent Road Closure C179 Station Road (South Cerney Parish) Cotswold District

Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) part of C179 Station Road from its junction with Spine Road East to Spring Lake for a distance of approximate^ 300 metres ("the Road"). The Road falls in the Parish of South Cerney in the Cotswold District and in the County of Gloucestershire. The reason for the closure is to carry out urgent repairs to a collapsed culvert.

The road was originally closed for 5 days by Urgent Notice, commencing on the 18th Juy 2022. However, the works have not been completed and so it is necessary to extend the closure, by an Order, which can authorise the closure of the road for up to eighteen months from the date of the original Notice. However, it is expected that the Road will re-open on the 28th July 2022. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Emergency access will not be maintained as the excavation will be the full width of the carriageway.
