(A72 Horsburgh) (Temporary 30 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2022

The Scottish Borders Council (A72 Horsburgh) (Temporary 30mph Speed Limited) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 06:00 on 13 August 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 03:00 on 14 August 2022. The Order is required in the interests of public safety to permit safe access end egress due to increased traffic attending Peebies Agricultural Show.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph along that length of the A72 at Horsburgh from 650 metres east of its junction with the B7088 to 440 metres west of the same junction.
