Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) C234 Hexham Bypass To Fourstones Hexham (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C234 Hexham Bypass To Fourstones for a distance of 40 metres, 20 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 11th August 2022 until the 12th August 2022.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 11th August 2022 until the 12th August 2022 between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 during this period. The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C234, A69, A686, C234 and vice-versa. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council's Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at

The closure has been requested by Cheveron TM on behalf of Network Rail to carry out annual level crossing test.
