Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Faringdon, Market Place Prohibition of Vehicles Date of Order: 1 August 2022 Coming into force: 8 August 2022 This Order is being introduced because of footway reconstruction around all sides of the Market square which is anticipated to be completed 26 August 2022. Works will operate between 07:00 and 19:00hrs weekdays.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in all sides of Market Place and in Church Street to the junction with Swan Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Suspension of 7.5t environmental weight limit as part of the approved diversion route. The alternative route for traffic wishing to use Market Place will be diverted from the A417 using Gloucester Street/Marlborough Street, to turn south along Park Road, to turn north along the A420 bypass, to turn back into Faringdon using the A4095 London Street returning back to Market Place, and vice versa. Through traffic using the A4095 will be diverted back north along the A4095 through Clanfield to Bampton, to turn east onto the B4449 High Street following it around into Buckland Road heading south, to cross the River Thames to Buckland, west along the A420, into Faringdon using the A4095 London Street returning to Market Place, and vice versa
The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council, Oxfordshire 7.5 Tonne Maximum Gross Weight Restriction) Order 2007 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended to enable heavy vehicles to use the diversion.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10362/AC)

Radley, Church Road Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting Date of Order: 15 August 2022 Coming into force: 23 August 2022 This Order is being introduced because of road resurfacing works which are anticipated to be completed 3 September 2022. Works will operate between 19:00 and 06:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Church Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Whites Lane, Foxborough Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10387/AC)
Notice of Temporary BOAT Closures
West Challow/Letcombe Regis and Letcombe Bassett Date of Order: 1 August 2022 Coming into force: 10 August 2022 This Order continues in force a rights of way closure introduced because of remedial work to the surface of the "byways open to all traffic" which are unsafe for continued public use; works will initially continue until 19 January 2023 and may be extended. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily West Challow BOAT 10 (399/10), West Challow BOAT 13 (399/13), Letcombe Regis BOAT 3 (275/3) and Letcombe Bassett BOAT 6 (274/6). The right of way is locally known as Green Road and Shelley's Lane and runs east to west between Windmill Hill and Holborn Hill. Also BOAT running north to south between B4507 and Letcombe Regis village hall. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of bridleway. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. There is no alternative public off road routes for those affected by the closure. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10663/AC)

East Challow - BOAT Closure
Date of Order: 1 August 2022 Coming into force: 10 August 2022 This Order continues in force the closure of the "byway open to all traffic" for public safety reasons introduced for remedial works because the surface of the route is unsafe for continued use, which is anticipated to be completed 19 January 2023. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily East Challow BOAT 3 (196/3) "Cornhill Lane" between the A417 and St Nicholas primary school. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of BOAT Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. There is no alternative off road route for those affected by the closure. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref. T10664/AC)

(BLEWBURY) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order - in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the Parish Council - is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Blewbury village, replacing the existing 30mph speed limits within the main residential area, leading out to the following points:
1. Westbrook Street - its junction with the A417 London Road,
Westbrook Street - its junction with the A417 London Road,
2. Nottingham Fee - its junction with the A417 London Road,
3. South Street - its junction with the A417 London Road,
4. Eastfields - its junction with the B4016 Bessels Way,
5. Bessels Lea Road - its junction with the B4016 Bessels Way
6. Whites Orchard - its junction with the B4016 Bessels Way.
The existing 30mph speed limits on the A417, B4016, Bohams Road, and Woodway, and the existing 40mph speed limit on the B4016 Bessels Way will remain as currently signed, having taken into account the current road environment & traffic usage. The Oxfordshire County Council (Blewbury) (Speed Limit) Order 2011 will be revoked/ replaced as necessary
