Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4224 Lea To Gloucestershire Boundary South Of Lea Road, Lea, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4224 Lea To Gloucestershire Boundary South Of Lea Road, Lea, Dean Common Farm to the junction with Watery Lane. Grid Ref: 365858 / 221093. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A40 onto the A1136 onto the B4224 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to rural fibre installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 29th of August 2022 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 10 days.
