Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) The Metropolitan Borough Of Bury (Bolton Rd, Radcldjfe/Bradshaw Rd, Hall St, Tottington/Brook St, St Mark's Sq, Taylor St, Hollins Lane, Bury/Sheepfoot Lane, Prestwich/West Ave, Whitefield) Temporary Closure Order 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-

1) Bolton Rd, Radcliffe - Wordsworth Ave to Unsworth St

2) Bradshaw Rd, Hall St, Tottington - Walshaw Rd to Bank St

3) Brook St, St Mark's Sq, Taylor St, Bury - full length

4) Sheepfoot Lane, Prestwich - Middleton Rd to 67 Sheepfoot Lane

5) West Ave, Whitefield - full length

6) Hollins Lane, Bury - full length

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. The alternative route for 1) Bolton Rd will be via Countess Lane, Turks Rd, Ainsworth Rd & vice-versa for 2) Bradshaw Rd, Hall St will be via Harwood Rd, Turton Rd, Market St, Booth St, Church St, Bank St & vice-versa for 3) Brook St via Bell lane, Moorgate, Walmersley Rd & vice-versa for 4) Sheepfoot Lane via Middleton Rd, Bury Old Rd & vice-versa for 5) West Ave via Bury New Rd, Cross St, Lily Hill St & vice-versa for 6) Hollins Lane via Parr Lane, Sunnybank Rd, Manchester Rd, Hollins Brow & vice-versa
The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 08 August 2022 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of the works at each location is between 2 & 6 weeks (9am to 4pm).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:-Side roads off 1) Bury New Rd, Whitefield - Stanley Rd, Salisbury St, Hamilton Rd Morley St 2) Rochdale Old Rd, Bury - Rough Hill Lane, Jericho Rd, Chadwick St, New Hall Rd, Holden Ave, Broadbent Dr, Winifred Ave, Smethurst Hall Rd 3) Manchester Rd, Bury -Millwood Ct, Dumers Lane, Bibby St, Mt Zion Rd, Hampson Mill Lane, Barlow Fold, Nuttall Sq, Crossfield St

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. These are short duration rolling side road closures and alternative routes will only be applicable for Manchester Rd at its junction with Dumers Lane where Manchester Rd north bound traffic will divert via Manchester Rd, Radcliffe Rd, Bury Rd and south bound traffic will divert via Manchester Rd, Bury New Rd, Radcliffe New Rd, New Rd, Pilkington Way, Blackburn St, Spring Lane
The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 08 August 2022 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of the works at each location is between 2 & 6 weeks 9am to 4pm).
